Bold BI 7.5 Release Highlights for Embedded Analytics

• We added schedule support to the data cache.

AI

• Support for the Azure OpenAI service has been incorporated into the QnA widget.

Server

• We provided support to configure OAuth setting using REST API for cloud users.

Embedding

• We updated the JavaScript-based embedding to default the environment API to on-premises, while for cloud sites, the environment is now set to cloud.

Widgets

• We improved the formatting of legend values when using gradient conditional formatting.
• We upgraded the grid pagination control to enhance the user experience.
• We introduced support for formatting tooltip values in both the KPI and number card widgets.

Data sources

• We have provided option to customize start day of the week for Relative Date Filter using Data language property for all the languages.
  

• We have provided the support to change the stored procedure when changing the dashboard parameter.
• We provided support to use the Materialized view in the Snowflake data source.
• We fixed the error in Google Big Query data source code view mode when using joining.
• We added support to import multiple data sources.
• We resolved the first and last tooltip not working properly when using a dimension column.

Designer

• Users can select or deselect all listener widgets in the filter configuration window.

AI

• The QnA widget has been enhanced to leverage insights from previously asked questions.
  

• Error messaging within the QnA widget has been refined for better clarity.

Bug fixes

Server

• We resolved the problem that caused attempts to send emails via SSL despite the configuration being set to operate without SSL. This fix is not applicable to cloud environments.
• We fixed the issue where the delete API did not provide the proper status message when Bold BI was hosted on Azure App Service. This resolution is not application for cloud environments.
• We fixed the issue where an internal server error was returned from the API when permission was added with an empty entity instead of the proper status code.
• We fixed the issue where providing invalid data resulted in the 200-https status code instead of the status code mentioned in the REST API documentation.
• We fixed the issue where an exported dashboard from a multi-tab dashboard didn’t have custom font applied.
• We fixed the issue where the timestamp of the one-day older comment showed incorrect details.
• We fixed the issue where providing empty group details wasn’t validated properly on the OAuth and OpenID setting pages.
• We resolved the problem that caused a confirmation dialog with a warning message to appear when deleting a data source, even though it was not in use by any dashboards.

Widgets

• We resolved the issue where the date picker pop-up remained open during scrolling operations on the dashboard.
• We resolved the grid selection not being applied for entire row when the row is configured with conditional formatting.
• We resolved the issue where the legend item was allowed to interact when the legend interactive property was disabled.
• We fixed the issue where the heatmap showed incorrect colors when only one color category was present.
• We resolved the doughnut chart color customization not being reflected when the configured column type was Boolean.
• We fixed the widget delete operation being unable to perform when moved outside the tab widget.
• We resolved the issue in the tab widget where the widgets collapsed in the first tab when added to the second tab.

• We fixed the problem that caused the row count to be duplicated in the AppFolio data source.
• We fixed the issue related to setting up an on-premises LinkedIn connector.
• We addressed the issue of no data appearing in the Web API Live connector preview window when using dashboard parameters in expressions.
• We resolved the issue causing the TOTALPERCENTAGE expression column to malfunction while filtering in view mode on Snowflake.
• We resolved the problem that prevented activity from being detected in data sources during the creation of a data source from the server-side.
• We resolved the issue where expressions created using total (SUM (columns)) in the denominator were not working.
• We resolved the issue that prevented the insertion of null values during the update of query metrics.
• The issue causing stored procedures to fail to refresh correctly when dashboard parameters were utilized in the MS SQL data store was addressed.
• The Invalid Object Name error that appeared in the stored procedure dashboard using MS SQL data store was rectified.
• The problem preventing data sets from handling System.Nullable exceptions during the creation of division expressions in the ClickHouse connector was resolved.

• We resolved the problem that caused the RunningSUM expression value to be inaccurate when incorporated into another expression.

• The issue preventing reconnection during the editing of a connection in code view mode without saving the data source was corrected.
• The problem where the description was not displayed while modifying the description for a duplicated data source within the data source editor was successfully resolved.

• We resolved the issue where the query filter did not change upon editing.
• The issue preventing the search value box from executing searches for list mode, number type, and date type in the dashboard parameters was resolved.
• We resolved the issue where no title was shown when clicking a region endpoint in Amazon Athena without Amazon Athena DLLs.
• We resolved the problem with data source mapping during the Dashboard upload procedure.
• We addressed the malfunction of PDF exports that occurred after activating the attribute-level connection string.
• We corrected the export malfunction that was present when the attribute-level connection string was enabled in extract mode.
• We displayed an error message indicating that the String_agg function does not support First/Last values in number cards.
